A Symphony of Horrors

Jack Palance as Dracula in the Dan Curtis television production from 1973. Curtis co-wrote the screenplay with Richard Matheson of I Am Legend fame. Interestingly, artist Gene Colan had selected Palance as the model for his Dracula in the Marvel Comics The Tomb of Dracula (which premiered in 1972 before Palance was even cast in Dracula) after seeing the actor in the 1968 Dan Curtis television production of The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.
